Expensive; benefits of 240Hz difficult to discern; dejudder modes can produce artifacts; some screen uniformity and off-angle issues; dark areas tinged bluer; most free streaming-video options not compelling.

Sony's high-end KDL-XBR9 series of LCD TV offers a bundle of extras and solid picture quality, but the price will turn off most buyers.

This Sony TV has never missed a beat or a pixel!

 

The KDL52XBR9 is loaded with internet stuff including NHL Vault; Crackle; YouTube and Netflix. Paid $2k for the TV at Best Buy and it included a $700 Sony bluray home theater system: 5 speakers and a sub. Fair price since it retailed at $3500 at it's...

Great picture with total reliability! Complete integration with Sony home theater system. There are so many ways to set up the picture, this TV looks better now then when I bought it. It never ceases to amaze me. The only thing can top it is a 4K set

Will watch grass grow before buying another Sony TV.

 

This TV sucks! I will never buy another Sony product because of this one item. The TV only worked as long as there was a warranty. When the warranty was gone, so was the TV. Going today to buy another. I have come to the conclusion that any brand of TV...

Works well when you first take it out of the box.

Sound is not clear. Picture lasted only as long as the warranty.

"Absolutely great tv until after the warranty ran out"

 

Bought this tv in December 2009 mainly due to my prior experience with Sony tv's and Best Buy's 36 month 0% interest plan.Tv was great for 12 1/12 months then lines and shadows started to appear. After a few minutes, this would go away. As time went on...
