You get what you pay for.

 

Inexpensive. It's a TV with picture quality as described and a solid remote control.

The apps available are pretty underwhelming. You get Netflix but among the apps available, that's the only one I'd imagine anyone would ever use.

I vacillated between 3/4 eggs; settled on 4 given the price point. Inferior picture to my 5 year old mid-range LG plasma - especially with darks/blacks. Not offensive but doesn't 'wow' either. Current generation of LCD/LED panels are noticeably better....

Nice picture, good selection of ports, acceptable sound, feels solid, runs cool, serviceable remote, sturdy stand. No observable motion blur on broadcast TV (eg: sports)

Horrible 'smart' functions; slow to respond and dated in appearance. Frequent freezes. Poor viewing angles. Picture quality varies depending on content (best with sports, not so hot on darker scenes). Takes several seconds to power up; Hisense logo...
