Great Product for a Great Price Simple to use

Truth is, I picked out this unit from among many alternatives because its depth was small enough (around 10") to fit on my 12" deep bookshelf. The Sony name gave me confidence to try it without checking it out in a store. I was not disappointed.

If your looking for something simple this is it and has plenty of power.

I've read reviews of people having the same power issue I'm having (see cons) and apparently a firmware update resolves this known issue. However - I bought this unit to sit in my pool house and power some bose 151 outdoor speakers and it really sounds...

For a few bucks less (about $15 total) you can get pretty much the same amp on E bay. For a few bucks more you can get a 5.1 reciever.

It's very good! I am very pleased to get this receiver. Sound quality is excellent, simple and low price.

Not many 2 channel stereo receivers around anymore yet that's all most of us need. This one does the job easily, without, with as many connections as you're likely to need and an uncluttered interface.

The sleep feature has 3 settings plus "OFF". Every time the system was turned on the sleep feature had to be reset to "OFF". Even after selecting the "OFF" setting the receiver would still automatically shutoff after 2+1/2 to 3 hours. Tech. dept. could...

I actually just bought this in 2016. I replaced a Yamaha RX770 that died. I purchased this at Jet.com for under $ 100. Frankly, I can't believe the quality for the price. Not quite as many modes or bells & whistles as my Yamaha had, but plenty of power...
