Logitech Harmony 1000 Universal Remote

If you're drowning in a sea of remote controls, Logitech has the answer.

It certainly looks and feels the part. It's slim, clad in brushed silver aluminium on the front with blue-backlit buttons, while the rear is rubberised to help you grip it. The remote doesn't just have hardware controls - for common stuff like...

Logitech Harmony 1000

Logitech's Harmony 1000 universal remote has tricky buttons, but it sure is a looker.

Beautiful remote. Easy to program. Large database of supported devices. Comes with a charging station that displays the remote handsomely.

Does not come with a RF receiver. Buttons on the LCD are close together and cannot be moved.

Logitech Harmony 1000 review

Distinctive rectangular design, in sleek brushed aluminium, superb functionality, the impressive Harmony range just got even better.

Looks and feels great ; pleasure to set-up, use ; bags of functionality

We've loved Logitech remotes in the past and this is possibly the coolest

Excellent - does everything a remote should do in some style.

While it lacks real multiroom capabilities and may not offer quite the flexibility of competing high-end tablet-style remotes, the swanky Logitech Harmony 1000 can be programmed by the average consumer, which saves the cost of hiring a home installer...

For those on tighter budgets, the Harmony 1000 is going to appear pricey, especially when you consider that no RF module is included. In addition, this model lacks some of the design flexibility (you can't design your own buttons or customize screen...

Logitech Harmony 1000 review

This will simplify the most complex of home entertainment systems

Activity-based control ; Simple setup process ; Backlit touch-screen

May not be as good as all your existing remotes

If you want an easy to use, one-remote solution for controlling all your home entertainment gadgets, this is definitely one to consider.

Harmony 1000 Universal Remote Control Reviewed

Bridging the gap between home automation and universal remote is the Harmony 1000. Its 3.5-inch touchscreen is just the start of its user friendliness. It's not quite as customizable as some others like Crestron, Control4 and AMX, but it sure does a...

Crestron-like looks to awe all your friends with simple set-up and control of even complicated theaters ; Access to the largest database of IR codes in the industry and exceptional customer service ; Rechargeable lithium ion battery keeps the remote...

The Harmony RF extender should be included with the remote for the $499 price

While the Harmony 1000 is a great remote that can easily be the focal point of any consumer-level home theaters, it would benefit from a customizable touch screen and a few more hard buttons. The RF relay should come with the remote, as its own IR...

Logitech Harmony 1000

When Logitech released the Harmony 1000 in early 2007, they were targeting those people looking for an easy to use tablet-style remote control. Read on to see how programming the device matches up to its actual operation.

The Harmony 1000 also has some advantages over other tablet-style remotes on the market. This remote, in most cases, is much less expensive than the competition. The MSRP of the Harmony 1000 is $499, but I have seen it around the Internet for right...
