B&O Beoplay A1

B&O Beoplay A1 review: One of the best sounding, and looking, Bluetooth speakers out there. It's not waterproof, though, so be careful.

Beautifully designed ; Stunning sound ; Handy leather strap

Price ; Not watertight

This is one of the best-sounding and most attractive Bluetooth speakers out there right now. The price may seem steep but on hearing this gem, you’ll be throwing your money out there to get one.

B&O Play Beoplay A1

The B&O Play Beoplay A1 is a portable Bluetooth speaker with some of the best bass response you'll find in such a compact size.

Excellent audio performance with surprisingly strong bass response. Simple, stylish, rugged design. Long battery life.

Mono audio. Expensive. Light on accessories. Lacks track navigation controls.

Conclusions Yes, the B&O Play Beoplay A1 is expensive, but your money is going toward a powerful, bi-amplified system that outperforms most small Bluetooth speakers we've seen. If the A1 is out of your price range, there are less expensive...

B&O Play Beoplay A1 Portable Bluetooth Speaker review

Credit B&O Play for creating a Bluetooth speaker that doesn't look like anything out there already. The new dome-shaped Beoplay A1 is not only the smallest wireless speaker from the Danish company, but also the most affordable at $249, £199 in the UK...

The dome-shaped, aluminum-clad Beoplay A1 speaker looks sleek, delivers relatively high-quality sound for its very compact size, has excellent battery life and works well as a speakerphone. A leather carrying strap allows you to hang the speaker from a...

It's fairly pricey and heats up a little when played at high volumes for long periods. Also, no protective carrying pouch or case is included.

The Beoplay's strong design, sound and battery life make it a worthy premium mini Bluetooth speaker contender.

B&O Play BeoPlay A1 Portable Bluetooth Speaker ( Moss Green)

Designed by well-known Danish furniture designer Cecile Manz , the aluminum-clad A1 is clearly meant to take on Bose's popular SoundLink Mini II wireless speaker, and it's one of the best-sounding mini Bluetooth speakers I've heard, though it better be...

B&O BeoPlay A1 review

A detailed and solid-sounding wireless speaker that brings the luxury of B&O into a budget price bracket...

Solid, weighty sound ; Decent bass ; Tonally balanced ; Gorgeous design ; Can pair with another A1 ; Generous battery life

Sound lacks sparkle and rhythm

It’s not the most thrilling sound, but the BeoPlay A1 is a solid and detailed performer that brings luxury performance into a lower price bracket

B&O Play Beoplay A1 review: not only looks gorgeous but sounds wonderful, too

The B&O Beoplay A1 not only looks gorgeous but sounds wonderful, too

The B&O Play Beoplay A1 is both a beautiful and wonderful sounding speaker. It rivals more expensive Bluetooth speakers for sound quality and its battery life is also stellar. Provided you don’t need waterproofing it also makes for a great outdoor...

B&O Play Beoplay A1 (review): A superslick mini Bluetooth speaker with strong sound and long battery life

Part speaker, part speakerphone, the Danish-designed Beoplay A1 boasts 24-hour battery life and is the most compact -- and least expensive -- Bluetooth speaker in the Beoplay line at $249.

The dome-shaped, aluminum-clad Beoplay A1 speaker looks sleek, delivers relatively high-quality sound for its very compact size, has excellent battery life and works well as a speakerphone. A leather carrying strap allows you to hang the speaker from a...

B&O Play Beoplay A1 review: Beautifully crafted sound

Small, refined and fabulous to listen to, the baby of B&O's wireless speaker range is perfect for audio on the move

In all, there’s very little to dislike about the B&O Play Beoplay A1. It’s true that you can’t connect via Apple AirPlay, Spotify Connect or aptX – and I’m going to knock off a star for those shortcomings – but as a speaker to complement your phone or...
