Have been trying to replace a Gears Head mouse which I really liked, but it went dead after 2 years and they don't sell the same model anymore. Tried Kensington, V7, and Logitech, but still can't find something to my liking, am trying a more expensive...

No problem being recognized in Windows 7, shows as a Microsoft PS/2 mouse, so no issues with setup. Shipped fast - more kudos to Newegg on their quick delivery

Has a cheap and light feel to it, so would be wary of heavy usage. The 1000 DPI is somewhat erratic in a normal environment, might work better for gamers. Pointer sort of shakes and wavers a bit, like it's trying to find the right place to land

pc2 optical mouse is ok

 

i prefer ps2 mouse/keyboard when motherboard supports them as this frees up the usb ports. i would definately buy this again whenever i need another ps2 optical mouse

good simple ps2 mouse at a very good price. wheel has stops so it doesn't "bounce back" when you touch it and is fine enough so that zooming in-game is still smooth. only reason i did not give a 5-egg is that i had to pay a bit for shipping and...

ordered on 22nd, got on 29th(,still kinda' quick) was over xmas holidays though, only had to pay 94c for shipping and handling(still cheap,) but maybe i'm spoiled for being used to free shipping. nothing to complain about but still a slight con

To scroll using the wheel requires so much force that I'm often middle-clicking when I don't mean to or else my finger is slipping off the scroll wheel without spinning it. It more or less makes the scroll wheel useless for me.
